TOBY

Male Dog aged 2 years 0 months.

Toby is such a lovely boy! He was found as a stray but was never reclaimed and has now come to DBARC to find a loving permanent home. Although he is a collie type, and therefore likely to be an active and intelligent dog, he is quite a laid back version of a collie! He is quite steady and sensible, with a calm and obliging nature, and is affectionate to everyone he meets. As he has no long term history, we would not wish to place him with children under 10 years, and he is unknown with cats or small pets. He has mixed with many other dogs while in rescue care, and has been sociable and happy around them all, but as with all rescue dogs, the stress and trauma in his recent life could cause him to be reactive to other dogs in a new environment, and adopters will need to be ready to help him overcome this if it occurs. This may involve seeking professional behavioural help. Toby walks nicely on the lead, and is a very easy dog to handle and even easier to fall in love with! He ejoys his walks so will need an active and interesting lifestyle, and company most of the time.
