Captain was taken to a Vet for a grim solution because his owner was unable to keep him. However, the Vet suggested rehoming him and so he had come into rescue. He is a lovely dog, very friendly and co-operative but has come from a rural home so would do best in a quieter environment. He has not lived with children but likes them, and would be He is not good with cats and will chase them. He has been sociable with other dogs while in Rescue care, but as with all rescue dogs, the stress and trauma in his recent life makes it impossible to know how he will behave with other dogs once rehomed. Very many dogs are reactive to dogs in a new environment and adopters will need to be ready to help him overcome this. Such rehabilitation is likely to involve seeking professional behavioural help. happy around children over 12 years. Captain loves his walks and is good on the lead but likes to walk on your left hand side! He is a very active dog so will need an interesting and active lifestyle and company most of the time.
