JESSIE

Female Dog aged 8 months.

Pretty little Jessie was given up for rehoming due to a change in her owner’s circumstances. She is a really sweet and gentle youngster, but lacking a bit of confidence so will need lots of tlc to help her in her new home. Although she is good with people of all ages, because she is quite a sensitive little one, we would not wish to place her with children under 12 years. She has been sociable with other dogs while in Rescue care, but as with all rescue dogs, the stress and trauma in her recent life may cause her to be reactive to dogs in a new environment and adopters will need to be ready to help her overcome this. Due to some medical issues after arriving at DBARC, she has been in rescue for longer than average and not been able to socialise with other dogs, so she is already becoming a little reactive when she sees them. This is something her adopter will have to be prepared to deal with - she is just a youngster and should settle back down once she has a regular routine in her home. Jessie will not be suitable to live with cats or small furries as she finds these way too exciting!! Jessie is an intelligent and lively young lady, so will need an interesting and active lifestyle. She will need further training and company most of the time.
